Their development haven't stood > still either. Hey John, there's a difference. The early 8-VSB receivers were fairly completely inadequate, what with their echo tolerance limited to 0 to +15 usec. So improvements on these early designs was bound to be dramatic. More so than improvements on a design which is already inherently capable of reasonable symmetric echo toilerance, even in 2K mode. Everything is a S curve.
