Hey John, there's a difference. The early 8-VSB receivers
were fairly completely inadequate, what with their echo
tolerance limited to 0 to +15 usec. So improvements on
these early designs was bound to be dramatic. More so
than improvements on a design which is already inherently
capable of reasonable symmetric echo toilerance, even in
2K mode.

Everything is a S curve. If you start at the bottom of
the S curve you're bound to see more dramatic improvement
than if you start a good way up.

And I repeat that I am uninterested in professions of
faith, but very interested in real comparison results.
