Bob; Good luck. I'm not much of a gambler, but I suspect that you had your opportunity befote, couldn't raise the stake necessary to sit at the table, and now, well, I'll pull my punch, this time at least. Second guessing what I could have done or said about buying spectrum in Auctions 44 and 49. Channels 55, 54 and 59. All three of these channels were bought for a total of $145 million of which around $35 was funny money from Qualcomm. We ended up owning Worcester and Vieques Island bought in Auction 49. Auction 44 was an incredible missed opportunity that came right down to the wire. In short we had about 5 days to raise $19 million to buy the six regions that channel 55 was divided into. We didn't do it but at the last minute if we had put up $1000 we would have been able to increase that to $19 million over the next 4 months since the Auction changed totally at the last minute. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
