This statement is unsupportable.

The increase or decrease in the percentage of OTA viewers in any country will be influenced MOST by the business proposition offered by the OTA broadcasters. The U.K serves as an excellent example.

DO IT WRONG - On Digital - and OTA viewers flee to a multi-channel service.

DO IT RIGHT - Freeview - and they came back in huge numbers.

The second major factor is government policy regarding OTA broadcasters.

And growing in importance is the bundling of services with broadband. In countries like the Netherlands where the bundling of cable TV and broadband is very affordable, OTA becomes rather insignificant.
Well OTA, at least free OTA, I think has some advantage in that its easily portable...tuner in your laptop, tuner in your desktop and now you can use many different PVR programs to record content and watch at your leisure. No fees. Not tied to any service provider.
