Another article that is oblivious of the online TV options, fooling the masses
into believing that online TV is only available from a handful of sites, by
subscription. Oh yeah, and by the way, if the corrupt FCC has its way, it can
truly come to that. But as of now, according to what we've read here,
ad-supported online TV is growing at a rapid pace. Part of net neutrality is to
keep all such options viable. Conversely, the effect of being in the pockets of
three or four special interests, handing over what they want on a silver
platter, could easily put an end to the options. How easy would it be for these
local monopolies to abolish ad-supported, or any online TV they don't approve
of, if this corrupt FCC has its way? Or anything else the monopolies don't like?
Obviously legacy MVPD prices keep going up. They are local monopolies. What
else can one expect, of monopolies that are not strictly price-regulated? The
article mentions sports. It should say more bluntly, prices go up, in large
measure, because the docile MVPD addicts are forced to subsidize grown men who
like to toss spheres. Say it plainly, confound it, and maybe the current FCC
Chairman will understand what that means. If he does understand, then I'd love
to hear him rationalize his grand plan. Apparently, the Chairman wants to wield
his power to make damned sure that these grown men who like to toss spheres
continue to be paid their outrageous salaries?
You know, those "innovative plans" he talks about. What a crook. He needs to be
ushered out.
