Craig, your aggressive cluelessness knows no bounds. The less you understand

Cellular services ARE NOT SFNs. SFNs ARE NOT cellular services. A cellular
service is made up in the same checkerboard fashion as are TV big sticks, but
on a much smaller scale. Zones of co-channel interference definitely exist,
between cells that use the same frequency channels.
Sorry Bert, but once again you have become your own worst enemy.
I never said anything about using SFNs to serve sub-markets. I said that ATSC
3.0 makes it possible to serve sub-markets by controlling power levels and
emissions to serve these sub-markets. As with cellular services, you can
checkerboard these small "TV cells" around a market- in fact you could lease
space on the cellular towers to do this.
Of course not. They reuse the spectrum by controlling the
coverage area
What generic jibberish. Obviously, there are areas of co-channel interference
between cells in cellular systems. It's just that in those areas of
interference, other frequency channels are used by the clients. Exactly the
same as happens, on a larger scale, among TV markets.
Thank You!
As I stated from the beginning of this thread, the use of high power big sticks
makes it impossible to serve sub-markets. ATSC 3.0 provides the tools to use
the cellular type infrastructure.
Cellular schemes DO EXACTLY THE SAME THING. Haven't you gotten this yet? Your
idea about small slices of a 6 MHz channel, for submarkets, behave this way
too. Large areas where you cannot use that small slice, within the market
area.
Why do you keep making a fool of yourself by stating the obvious?
Regards
Craig
