This was only your initial assumption, and it is not valid.

Wrong. My assumption was that the antenna CANNOT be tiny and
self contained as is the case with WiFi in the connected TV
dongles.

Remember, Craig, that you started by questioning how an ATSC 3.0 receiver could 
be built in the form of an HDMI stick.

Remember now?

Bottom line: adopting ATSC 3.0 would be a nuisance for many users, but not a 
tremendous nuisance. Those using OTA today already have an antenna, so they 
could connect that *same antenna* to an HDMI stick. And as I showed you then, 
and since then, these HDMI or USB sticks already contain tuners, demods, 
decoders, EPGs, and the rest, and antenna placement options too.
