I think you mean OTT services. If that's what you mean, of course I agree. With 
few exceptions like CBS All Access, OTT services bypass local broadcasters 
entirely, as things are today.

For OTA users, local broadcasters had a critical role before: distribution of 
high value content. For MVPD users, they had a make-believe role: let's pretend 
we own the content that the MVPD sells.

With Internet distribution, the congloms go it alone, and also sell via other 
portals. Some local broadcasters might sell their local news and weather 
content, but they have lost the most critical role. The pretend-game of content 
ownership doesn't exist over the Internet. That's why I think local 
broadcasters need to find an Internet role to play.
