Yup. But who is going to sit two picture heights from the
screen?

Read again the last sentence I wrote.

Standard ceiling height in US homes is about 8 ft, is it not? A floor to 
ceiling display, viewed from a perfectly normal viewing distance, is how many 
screen heights distant?

4K displays are common enough now that you can go into any store and check them 
out. And often you'll see a 2K display close by too. Very easy to compare, just 
for that one aspect - how perceptible are individual pixels, at different 
screen height distances. Never mind all the rest. Never mind "biggest bang for 
sharpness buck."
