Only Craig can turn this into a bad thing. A one-time expense only? Wow. That's
not for me. I much prefer paying subscription fees. What would the neighbors
think?

Not here.

In this market, there is exactly one Spanish language TV station, Univision
(used to be Telefutura). It transmits only one 480i stream, and it recently
started transmitting a place holder for its -2 subchannel, which is still
unused.

The NBC O&O transmits weather and Universal Sports in its subchannels.

The ABC affiliate tranmsits weather and the Retro Television Network in its
subchannels.

The CBS affiliate only transmist a weather radar image. Useful on occasion.

The CW station here transmits This TV in its subchannel, as does Fox 45 in
Baltimore.

The Fox affiliate and the MNT affiliate have no multicast at all.

Mostly, the subchannels are very underused, except for the independent MHz
Networks, with its assortment of international 24-hour news feeds (in English
with a couple of occasional exceptions), the Ion station, and PBS, each of
which transmit either one HD and three SD streams, or 5 SD streams per 6 MHz
channel.
