I'm not sure how to interpret that data. Is the 2nd column an rf channel number? And is the one with degrees direction? (from me?)
The first number is the channel number. But, oops, the first antenna height number is HAAT, and all of the translaters are given a HAAT of 0. I misread that. The next two numbers are height above sea level and ground.
The direction is from one of the stations, I forget which one, that I used as a reference point. But antennaweb helps there. It says all the local DTT stations are basically south to west to almost north of the U of F campus, bearing 179, 204, 273, 343 degrees, where the 343 station is only 5 miles away from U of F. So I figure from where you will be, they are W and S, or SW and S? That seems to be where all the more or less local stations should bear, from where you will be. Maybe one or two antennas will be enough, for Gainesville and Ocala.
It's true that stations appear to be all over the place. But the scattered ones seem to be only a handful of miles from U of F, or they are from Daytona Beach (almost 80 miles). That's why perhaps this won't be so bad, at least for the Ocala and Gainesville stations. Jacksonville, assuming they are receivable at all, would be NW.
It may be awhile before I get a rooftop rotor again, which it looks like it I may need.
For anything not local, maybe. But with DTT reception, it's weird. I think I mentioned that I have a lower gain UHF antenna, aiming too far N for proper reception of any Baltimore analog station, that does a really good job with most Baltimore and Washington DTT stations. Who'd a thunk it? Small antenna, and yet you still get a solid signal indication.
