I think you need to reconsider who votes and why. A former attorney of mine -- a liberal Democrat -- is aghast about Kerry. He believes that more than 40 states will go for Bush. I see things more balanced, but who knows. Kerry's support -- the White House plays to this sentiment -- is soft. Vote fraud might help -- it's traditionally a Democratic enterprise and the signs are strong that it is really occurring this year in unprecedented fashion. Don't forget the Roe effect (are republican women more likely than democratic women to have abortions?) You should also overlay the cities where Sinclair has stations over a map of the battleground states. The people who won't watch the program (decided Kerry voters) won't be affected by it. Swing voters are likely to be swayed more than a bit, and they aren't likely to be subject to blowback. Republicans will watch and be energized. To vote. Once. Of course, you live in Manhattan. I suspect that you do not know anyone planning to vote for Bush. I know people all over the place, including a elderly republican friend who is voting for Kerry, because Kerry (subtext) will get us out of Iraq. On Jan 21, if given the chance. Nuisance, indeed! It will have a major blowback IMO. Kerry wins by 6% going away IMVHO. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
