Really? 1) she doesn't need to worry; the tests were essentially
superfluous to her, and 2) how often do the stations in her market break
down in the normal course of business, and 3) the amount of attention his
mother-in-law pays to unscheduled events on television.

It's truly amazing how 1)you can make solid "recommendations" and
"conclusions" with the information presented to you and 2) how often those
are offbase.

One can think of this type of test as being on the order of "speed bumps."
Which tend to wake up those not paying attention to the signs. Brutal, yet
effective. And, the tunings she is accustomed to making will become brick
walls within a few months.

What a dumb way to do the analog shutdown test, excuse my French.

Of course, anyone who didn't already know would conclude what your
mother-in-law concluded.
