"When the exit pupil is at infinity, (in which case it is said to be telecentric),
all the principal rays are parallel to the optical axis.
The color separation prism in a television camera has a dichroic coating.
The spectral characteristics of this coating differ depending on the angle
of incidence; the smaller the angle between the principal rays and the optical
axis, the better these characteristics are."

Seems to me that glass without this characteristic cannot be called a lens.
Is there a lens without a focal point?
