They do offer a windows binary for download, besides the source.

I think Mplayer and the like officially only distribute source 
code.  While that may not make them technically immune to patent 
claims I'm not aware yet of any being successfully pursued under 
those conditions.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
