Did it with a friend on a Panasonic and it worked out just fine. Can
be done just looking for someone that knows this one. Or it will go to
the shop.

There is an upside, assuming (big assumption) that the problem has been
diagnosed properly: the screen is probably more expensive than any board.

But, replacing yourself is just laughable.  Will you then calibrate it?
