PCs have been doing both encoding and decoding for a decade. The reality is that the BSP-15 processor has sufficient MIPS to handle either the encode or the decode process for a D1 signal in real-time, however I doubt that it can do both simultaneously. By the way, Equator has been demonstrating a variety of CODECS on their processors for several years, including MPEG-2, Real, Windows media, etc. Regards Craig ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
