The Trivini system was written to support PSIP tables and then later modified to support the MPEG PSI tables in the cases that the encoder could not be configured correctly. They later added the support for a few of the DVB SI tables, but are not fully compliant. With that being said you are correct it is not "exclusively ATSC" my bad.
