VHF ends at Channel 13?

Last time I checked, VHF ended "around" 333 MHz, and Channel 13 topped out "well" below that. Indeed, ISTR that the upper band limit of Channel 13 is 'around' 286 MHz. (That's more than 10% down from the upper band limit.)

Indeed, unless the FCC has made serial mistakes, UHF tops out at 3.33 GHZ, and VHF starts at 33 MHz.

"The highest VHF-TV channel is numbered 13" would seem to be a closer fit to reality.

John Willkie, who has written "tv-channel-to-frequency" (and vice-versa) programs so many times, this stuff just flows from his finger tips.
