Hmmmm...

Not sure i buy into the P2P sharing...or to be more accurate, that 
the content moguls would allow this.  BUT.

The IPTV system should be able to keep track of what is in local 
cache, at leas the stuff that they downloaded into that cache. If the 
upstream bandwidth is sufficient, it would be technically feasible to 
route the bits from the local cache in one home to another home at 
the same network level. Probably easier on a HFC loop than a telco 
system where everything is coming from the CO.
