Ah, but 1:2.21 is in the MPEG-2 and DVB specs.  Is that going to be rendered
only on 16x9 sets?

No Craig, 16:9 in the Digital channels in the UK, 14:9 on the analogue ones.
If your going to tell people off at least get your facts right. 16:9 is the
worldwide standard for digital television, look in the SMPTE and ITU
documents and you'll not find any other shape.
