With the number of viewer complaints I've been fielding lately, and judging by the results of in-home visits, I agree.
Regardless of Bert's understandable intellectual attraction from an engineering standpoint of squeezing out the most bits/hertz at the lowest possible C/N, I would much rather give up a few bits and run the same power transmitter we have always ran for NTSC in return for a much easier reception experience by our viewers.
