Switches and rotors pretty much assume you watch live, only one thing at a time. This is an incorrect assumption in a world of timer recording.

FOTA would be great IF I COULD ACTUALLY RECEIVE IT.
Why can't you, and what have you tried?

I know we like to repeat ourselves on this list every few months but I
can't say I care to do so - you can check the list archives.

A colleague of mine has taken it upon himself to switch over his
mother-in-law's and sister-in-law's homes in the past two or three
weekends. He's been successful in both places, using an Antennas Direct
DB4 antenna indoors. Same one I'm using.

And everyone on my block is getting Dish, DirecTV or Cox because they
can't get reception. Even the old-timers who are hold-outs against any
new technology. A couple purchased 'converter' boxes and those didn't
work. They were pretty ticked off to say the least. I wonder what % of
converter boxes sold are returned?

I'm getting a second DB4, for Christmas, along with a Winegard 75 ohm
combiner. I'll be trying to get better reception of Baltimore channels,
by aiming the two DB4s in slightly different directions. If the combiner
doesn't work, I can fall back to a simple switch.

Thanks for proving my point. Most people don't want antenna farms and
switches all over their property.

Cheers
Kon
