That's because you're surprised by things that shouldn't be so
surprising (IMHO, naturally).
Since HD and DTG were mentioned in one breath yesterday, you might want
to go through this viewgraph presentation made by the DTG. It shows how
they have become aware of the importance of HDTV on any medium that
expects to transmit TV. And their view on how "niche" of a product HDTV
is.
