Not HD. For now, they are SDTV recorders, but they do have progressive HDMI 
outputs. As well as component, etc. Still, it took forever to get this far. 
These started appearing about March this year, on schedule. I don't remember 
the exact date. Philips, LG, Panasonic, maybe some others too. Decent prices. 
Certainly better image quality than any VCR, even S-VHS. (Unless you record at 
the 8 hour setting.)
