Really?  When is the last U.S. LPTV station or translator due to stop 
transmitting?  When is the last U.S. cable system due to stop analog

Not today, but sufficiently in advance of February 18, 2009 to allow 
people to continue to watch what they currently watch.

Sorry -- I don't get the point YOU'RE making.  People aren't using 
VCR/DVD combos or DVD recorders to watch DVDs?  I do.

Sure.  That just adds to my point.  Mark's modulator is NTSC, not ATSC.  
It's yet another NTSC RF source that somehow needs to be added to the 
consumer kluge.


You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
