Which begs the question, then, of why profits went down.  The juxtaposition
was funny: one item said NDS provided the security system, and was looking
to "tivoize", while the second said that profits were down, and NDS lost the
deal.

Um yes, thanks for the second bit of FUD. Truth is DirecTV renewed their
contract with NDS for a 6-year term.
