That's what I was thinking, too. For a lot of viewers this is probably the first substantial advertising of the DTV transition they've seen.


It will be interesting to see how many people end up sticking with OTA once the transition is complete. I tried going with OTA for a while for my HD setup, but it simply wasn't reliable enough, even with high-end antennas properly aimed. I couldn't have friends over to enjoy a football game, for example, because I couldn't predict how much picture breakup there would be. I'm guessing a lot of cable/ DirecTV/FIOS subscriptions will be purchased once people see the digital "cliff effect" in all its glory.

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org
- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
