You're missing one aspect regarding the freeness of Freeview. It is
subsidized by the current 126.50 GBP ($232.47 USD at today's exchange rate)
annual Colour TV License Fee.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:
- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at
FreeLists.org
- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word
unsubscribe in the subject line.
