You have a slight argument here, but only slight. I don't think most people
would include, under net neutrality, that Internet sites must be allowed to be
above the law. Whatever "freedoms" we have, this is always the case, do not

the same could happen here as special interests would seek similar
protections from the FCC and the courts?
Theft is covered by laws already. Theft of content that is sold for a fee, be
it in a brick and mortar store or somewhere on the Internet, does not need to
go unpunished. This is not an issue unique with net neutrality or with Title II
classification. If the cops block a web site that is providing stolen content,
it's very much the same thing as cops preventing sheisters from selling stolen
property from the back of a truck, parked on a public street. We might be free
to go where we please, but not to break the law.
Aereo service was also shut down. Even with a neutrality mandate. It was
determined that this service, provided for a fee (only to make matters worse),
could not use material owned by someone else, without prior consent, which they
did not get. (Were it not for the fee Aereo charged, I would think the
broadcasters and networks should have thanked Aereo for their service, but
that's another discussion. Aereo did charge for the service, and the content
owners should be expected to get their share, or at least give their approval.)
The same applies to MVPDs, which carry broadcasters' content. Pretty much the
identical situation.
