The problem with this approach is, getting data in advance, so you still
need a service to do that. Using SI data from the stream to patch up the
epg. Problem is that many broadcasters rely on the platform operator to
build the epg in the first place, so there is no SI (or limited) data to
grab from the stream. Let alone updating the epg on the fly, from the
play-out system.

The most reliable way to gain EPG info from broadcasts is to pull the
metadata FROM those broadcast. Unfortunately, this assumes that the
broadcaster is actually keeping ITS EPG up to date...

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 
FreeLists.org 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
