The problem with this approach is, getting data in advance, so you still need a service to do that. Using SI data from the stream to patch up the epg. Problem is that many broadcasters rely on the platform operator to build the epg in the first place, so there is no SI (or limited) data to grab from the stream. Let alone updating the epg on the fly, from the play-out system. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Craig Birkmaier" <craig@xxxxxxxxx> The most reliable way to gain EPG info from broadcasts is to pull the metadata FROM those broadcast. Unfortunately, this assumes that the broadcaster is actually keeping ITS EPG up to date... ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
