Their choice of colors (reds on yellows with ample color-bleeding is a favorite), fonts (100pt non-antialiased for those too blind to read the EPG) and graphic design (didn't we leave color clipping overlays in the 80's?) is top notch. I dropped their box like a stone when the first SA Tivos rolled out (Tivo's menu has its own issues, but its still light years ahead of what they have - even years later with little change).
