Additionally, all surrounding infrastructure is gone i.e. electric power, water, roads, raw materials, not to mention the loss of people. It also cannot be accessed due to being within the radius of nuclear evacuation. There is no more SR or DB stock in Los Angeles. All gone as far as I know. The scramble is on to fill the void. Maxell, Panasonic (D5), and Fuji cannot possibly make up the loss of Sony deliverables in terms of digital tape stock supplies. It is the dawn of a new era. Is film production is coming back with roar for for features and TV episodics due to foreseen digital camera and camera parts shortages? He says he doesn't, and doesn't know of other sources except brand new from Sony. Very small heads, specialized, etc. Now, Quad heads, Type C, BetacamSP, 3/4" he can help with. Hello folks, I know HDCam's aren't quite as old as most vtr's we discuss but recent events have made parts pretty scarce. Does anyone know of rebuilders that can handle HDCam or SR heads? T hanks, Rich Torpey
