Bob, isn't it about time to quit the silliness? Anyone
can go lower power. The ATSC and COFDM tests in Hong
Kong in 2000 only used 100 watts. SO WHAT?

You still don't see satellites using COFDM, right?

The interesting aspect of the French system is that
they use a mix of SFNs and multiple transmitters
which are more like translators. Check out the 4
different transmitter sites used for Paris, for
example. The Eiffel Tower transitters are on different
frequencies from the low power ones, and the low
power ones are in one case also on different
frequencies, for the same program channel.
