As true as all of that might be, the NYT/Wash Post/CNN/MSNBC/etc. have no
room to talk. What gall. They're every bit as pathetic, in the opposite
direction.
Yup...
Seems Americans are no longer interested in the truth - they willingly embrace
sources of information that conform to “their realities and viewpoints.”
Fox built its audience by catering to the needs of a large group of Americans
who believe(d) that the media was becoming a propaganda tool for the “political
establishment.”
I used to tell people that there are more TV studios in Washington D.C. than in
New York or Hollywood. Every politician, every special interest group, every
government agency creates “reality TV” every day in the Nation’s Capital.
Apparently the President figured out that “reality TV” can attract a huuuuggge
audience when the “realities” actually have an impact on the viewers. As noted
in the article, the critics all claim they are “real” and the other guys are
“fake;”
The coziness has angered critics who label Fox News “state TV,” a sobriquet —
lobbed by rival TV news leaders like Jeff Zucker of CNN and Andrew Lack of
NBC — that Fox News executives emphatically reject.
Clearly, the public is willing to accept altered realities - I cannot think of
any media organization that gets the facts right all the time, much less
providing a “fair and balanced” analysis of every issue.
It’s much easier to create alternative facts and alternative realities - That’s
what the media congloms do...
Sadly, it appears that’s what the masses want.

Craig
