Guess what, nearly all women get their bra sizes wrong*. There is no uniformity of sizes among manufacturers and product ranges. And there are many different size schemes in use (a French woman that tells you to get a 100 b would be offended if you showed up with a nothern-european 100 b). Two years ago US manufacturer Playtex even came up with its own patented sizesystem ranging 'Nearly A' to 'Nearly C', just so women had some extra figures to choose from and would be able to get a better fitting bra. Indeed, there is a clear analogy here with the EU trying to establish a uniform and more descriptive and informative system of apparel sizes, which has met with simillar sentiment from the German textile-industry and retailers like Otto, in particular. *let alone men buying bra's for women ----- Original Message ----- From: "Jeroen Stessen" <jeroen.stessen@xxxxxxxxxxx> To: <opendtv@xxxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Wednesday, July 06, 2005 4:40 PM Subject: [opendtv] Re: FTC's Lost Rule: Screen Measurement Hi, Craig wrote: > Here's another idea... > How about all of the following: (...) I don't know. Somehow the simplicity of bra cup sizes A..E appeals more to me. ;-) Don't bother the customer/viewer with too many numbers. -- Jeroen ---------------------------------------------------------------------- You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways: - Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at FreeLists.org - By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word unsubscribe in the subject line.
