_HTV Launches HDTV Test Transmission on Cable (in Finland)

In case of TPS, though it is not stated with those words, the elements
of information would point to the use of H.264.

I was not in such a hurry to see HDTV come before H.264 was an
established standard, but now it seems it will be used anyway, so i look
forward to Europe reawakening from its HDTV slumber.

And there is also euro1080 on the air (never got a chance to see a demo,
yet).

Also on the DVB site : the first showcase of DVB-H in Singapore by Nokia
(DTV to mobiles).

By the way, did you see those news on eetimes.com about DTV to mobiles
in Japan and Korea using DMB-T, with teh help of a british company ? I
thought DMB-T was a Chinese (still draft) standard, that
Korea was officially ATSC, Japan ISDB-T and british companies more
involved in DVB... Any clue ?
