Yes, it is yet another carrier added to the visual carrier, in a similar way that chroma is part of the visual carrier, yet on a spectrum analyzer it appears to be a separate carrier of it's own between the visual and aural carriers, especially when transmitting a red raster. And judging from the reports so far from fellow PBS stations where the equipment is installed, it is not 100% transparent to the viewer.
