But back to the little box. It seems to me that instead of insisting on these
blasted boxes, Cox could also just transmit their basic channels (the same
ones these guys watched on analog) over clear QAM, or whatever you guys call
unencrypted QAM. Or for that matter, over 8-VSB channels. Why isn't this the
more exact equivalent of the analog channels??

Cox offers about 15-20 channels, including all local broadcast stations, over
clear QAM.
