So why would the FCC ask commenters from a single organization or

Are you making up another of your conspiracy theories? People can file either
way. As a group, but then that means the individuals have to agree with
everything the group says. Individuals often don't.
Besides, what's wrong with the opinions of a tremendous number of people from
being heard individually, Craig? Is the FCC afraid to hear what individuals
think? Does it believe that by compressing the statements of the overwhelming
masses, into a few "groups," while letting the paranoid lunatic yahoos have
their say as individuals, would better serve their purpose?
I said my bit, as I did last time around. Including the point that for the FCC
to work so hard, on behalf of the self-interests of a tiny number of companies,
enough to overturn a previous decision, does not look good. Optics, they call
it. Including the fact that these ISPs are now local monopolies, where they
weren't in the dialup era. Including the fact that net neutrality has existed
for more than a century, and that it is clearly in the FCC's charter. Including
the fact that our system of economy only self-regulates when competition is
adequate, and here it clearly is not anymore.
Bottom line, Craig got even this one backwards. Last time around, he claimed
that the FCC was in the pockets of the special interests, and was clearly
wrong. This time, he won't dare make such a claim, even though the evidence
seems, on the face of it, far more compelling.
