Have you seen a TV broadcaster promote analog tv reception on-air in the

P.S. Perhaps if broadcasters actually started to promote DTV and inform the public that they can save money by getting their signals via an antenna rather than paying extra from cable and DBS this could change. But it is the broadcasters who appear to be pushing people to cable and DBS so that they can get those retrans consent payments.
The local Philly TV stations heavily promote their digital channels that are carried on cable, i.e. CH-246, but /never/ mention that their digital signals are available free over the air. As I have mentioned here previously, these local stations were threatened by the cable company that they would yank all advertising from any local station that promoted it's OTA digital channel availablity, either instead of or in addition to promoting their digital channels as carried by the cable company.

Does anyone think this blackmail might change as the analog shutoff date approaches?
Doubtful.
I forsee promos running on all the locals reminding viewers to 'hurry and subscribe to cable before your antiquated
TVs become useless when the FCC shuts down all the old stations next year.'
Think not?
