Are you saying that Murdoch is wrong or ME?
Both of you are wrong. Murdoch was strictly speaking about the old way of
watching MVPD-based TV bundles. And that comment was simply wrong. It might
have been cheaper by the pound, but not cheaper for the individual viewer. And
you keep trying to make a similar comment, which also falls flat.
We agree that it is possible to get an ad supported TV fix without paying
for a MVPD or OTT pay TV service.
Finally. And yet in the same post, you wrote this:
It disproves NOTHING. Buying a content bundle that includes the
most popular networks from ALL of the congloms is clearly cheaper
than buying the "vertical bundles" from one conglom.
It depends on your preferences. If, say, all you want is CBS and Scripps fare,
you can certainly do better with CBS All Access plus whatever this new
Discovery/Scripps OTT site is likely to cost. Or even add in Netflix.
The fact remains that the vast majority of U.S. homes pay for a TV
bundle
The fact remains that even the luddites are bailing out, Craig. You have
attempted to make this argument over and over again. It was totally
unconvincing the first time, and it is becoming less and less true every time
you repeat it. Only the trend line counts.
