Rather obvious. But this is not anti-competitive. More like telling Disney that they must include a short video from another studio on every DVD they sell.

It might dilute their profits and cause anarchy within their subscriber base when they begin asking why some services are free and others have a cost.

I seriously doubt that people would be that naive. But they might find that HD radio, while not offering as much choice as a satellite radio subscription is adequate, thus lessening the likelihood that a new GM car owner will subscribe to XM after the 3 month free trial is over.
