This FCC Chairman has long been overdue to be shown the door. Too bad the
Republicans feel obliged to stand behind a crook. Their loss.
The crook was the CIO who lied about the DDOS attacks Bert.
There was no benefit to Pai to spread this lie, or to update Congress until the
IG issued the report about the now fired employees deception. The fact that the
FCC servers could not handle the massive amount of spam is about as relevant as
the fact that the Obamacare servers were a disaster for many months - just the
reality that incompetency is rampant in the swamp.
And please do not reopen the can of worms about the spam. The FCC issues NPRMs
in order to get serious comments from the industries that are impacted by the
proposed orders. The public DOES NOT get to vote on these orders, and millions
of comments that provide no direct response to the questions raised in the
NPRMs are just “noise” in the system.
The FCC comment system was not designed to handle millions of responses, as the
number of “relevant” responses is typically n the hundreds, not millions. The
CIO should have reported this reality, rather than trying to blame the problem
on the opposition to the proposed FCC order.
Maybe you should consider what it means to be non-partisan Bert...
