Take a deep breath Kon...

These machines are developer platforms for new Macs that will not
exist for another year.

They are not Macs with Intel chips.

It may well be possible to run a variety of OSes on the new Intel
Macs, as it is possible to run multiple OSes on most computers today.
But Apple has publicly stated that ONLY Intel Macs from Apple will be
able to run OS-X.

Here's another way to look at the situation. The Sony Play Station
and Microsoft X-Box will both be running on Power PC cores, but they
won't run OS-X. More important, they won't run games from the
competitors system.

Apple's decision to move to Intel processors has little to do with
the legacy PC business. Apple already lost that battle. This battle
is about connecting to the big screen in the family room and sharing
digital media content among all kinds of digital media appliances in
and around the home.
