That doesn't work. My macbook can't even output a 1920x1200
displayport to dvi or hdmi screen - the display is corrupted and
desyncs continuously. I actually have to use displayport to VGA to get
a usable image. This is something Apple knows about and has done

I like the idea of thunderbolt but there's no way in hell I would
suggest anyone get a v1.0 version of the hardware, especially if
you're going to do something like PCIe video expansion down the line.
