True, but this idea died did not prove to be very marketable. And interlaced panels would be inappropriate for non-video information display - although a panel could probably be made to work in both interlace and progressive modes.


See, too, my comment on the Realta chip. Due to economies of scale, consumer deinterlacing can be BETTER than professional.

Then why not use the Realta chip in a broadcast de-interlacing product?
