Please, Bert. You know perfectly well that NET neutrality mandates were an Obama era phenomenon. And thankfully a short-lived one. As I have said previously, the FCC should not be setting policy, they should only be a vehicle to implement policy set by Congress.

If net neutrality is such a high priority for the states and for large companies such as AT&T, then the proper channel is to contact your representatives and have them pass a law to that effect. Then the 'rogue Chairman' would have no recourse but to implement it.

And please note that I am not arguing whether net neutrality is a good or bad thing. I am in opposition to executive direction or judicial mandates taking the place of the legislative process.

And again the problem has been mischaracterized. Only one article I read ever got it right. Neutrality mandates are not "Obama era." They have applied for as long as telecoms have existed. And the FCC was established largely for this purpose. Maybe we have more than just one giant AT&T now, but we still have local monopolies, or maybe two companies, for fixed broadband. For reasons that have nothing to do with regs.
