Which is what Bob Miller had also reported, and what I witnessed by
going to Circuit City and seeing that both the LG stand-alone STB and
their LST-3410A PVR had disappeared from the shelves. But at least,
Circuit City still carries the decent Digital Stream 3150 Plus and the
Samsung SIR-T451 elderly STB. On the other hand, Best Buy seems to have
dropped their Funai/Sylvanis STB. They only carry the Sony integrated
PVR now.

The question remains, WHY the drought?

If someone would make a good ATSC DVDR or PVR available for less than
$1000, that would be nice. Analog DVDRs are going for spit these days.
Adding a recent vintage ATSC tuner would make a really attractive STB,
IMO. What's the matter with these companies?
