To my knowledge, the unit was a LST4200A type box, with minimal tweeking. It was a bit better (in some regards) to the bit earlier LST3100A in terms of front end performance. I think that the LST3100A was their first major single conversion terrestrial unit. AFAIK... And yes, 5th GEN is pin-for-pin compatible with 4th...
