Can't you do that already with MPEG-2? For
example, isn't that exactly what happens when
MPEG-2 is used in a fixed bit rate mode? You
get variable quality.

You can UNSUBSCRIBE from the OpenDTV list in two ways:

- Using the UNSUBSCRIBE command in your user configuration settings at 

- By sending a message to: opendtv-request@xxxxxxxxxxxxx with the word 
unsubscribe in the subject line.
